Well first off we are Brokers, which means we work for you to help you choose which Insurance Company is best suited for you, also “our process is simple, straight-forward and streamlined”. With over 24 years in the insurance business and nearly 10 years operating as an Internet Insurance Agency, we have worked hard to perfect and streamline this process. We handle your case from beginning to end; you will deal directly with the Agent, with access by phone and email, additionally our private case managers update us daily.
We have a proven reputation and our customer satisfaction is unparalleled. We are experts in “field underwriting”. That is, determining which carrier will give our clients the best Premium Class based on their particular health history, etc (each insurance carrier has their own unique market niche).
Once you have contacted us, whether by phone, quote request or email, we will give you an accurate quote and if you are ready to proceed we will begin the application process (over 50 carriers to choose from). There are two types of underwriting; Non-Medical & Traditional. The non-medical version is quicker, yet the premiums are higher and underwriting is tighter. Traditional underwriting requires a visiting nurse to complete a life insurance exam. Today it is easier than ever to acquire the Life Insurance you desire. If you want coverage quickly and are willing to pay the higher premiums then we can usually get our clients insured within a couple of days with a non-medical plans.
Traditional underwriting has recently gotten much easier, two of our carriers allow us to sign you up online. The process is unbelievably easy, fast and simple for getting you insured, all done online with no papers to sign until you take delivery of your policy, this carrier is approving our clients very fast with super competitive rates. For other carriers which do require your signature to begin the process, we will send you the papers, via email, overnight mail or fax. After you sign the application you can scan and email your signed application back or fax it back.

Obviously if your health is great, your *build is fine (check you build on the chart below) and you don’t have a dangerous weekend hobby you are easy to get insured. Those which don’t have perfect health are *overweight (check your build below) or are pilots or have other high risk hobbies and such we will work with you and see which carrier is best suited. Well controlled Hypertension is usually not a problem (only if complicated by other conditions), well controlled diabetes usually not a problem (again unless complicated by other conditions, or very overweight), for those *overweight we have several carriers for this. *To check your build see the chart below. By the way we have 8 insurance carriers that insure pilots; Pilots are NOT a problem, Private Pilots whether ATR/IR certified our not, whether under 200 hours/year or over 200 hours/year are ok. (Commercial Pilots have lenient guidelines). Also, Scuba Divers, Sky Divers, Racers (Auto, Motorcycle) we can help just give us the specifics so we can see which carrier is best.

How to have your best Life Insurance Medical Exam
Certain factors can help you get better results from your blood and urine samples and you may be able to get a better insurance rating as a result. Factors that are considered by the insurance company underwriters are heart rate, cholesterol, blood pressure, height and weight ratio, medical history, family medical history and others factors.
Since 1 out if 3 individuals are prone to white coat syndrome, in other words they have higher blood pressure readings in the doctor’s office due to nerves. Have the nurse meet you at your home, you are more relaxed and will have your best reading, I’ve had clients call me saying they got lost or stuck in traffic on the way to the nurses office and the nurse took their reading without letting them relax first, best at home if at all possible.
Here are some other tips:
- Insurance carriers regard height as height in shoes, when asked by Nurse/Examiners, for height it is height in shoes.
- Make sure you have fasted for 8 hours before the exam.
- Don't drink anything but water for eight hours before the exam.
- Don't smoke or chew tobacco for 24 hours. If possible, start avoiding it now.
- Do relax to keep your heart rate down during the exam.
- Avoid coffee or other caffeinated drinks like soda for 8 hours.
- Don't eat high-cholesterol food like red meat for 24 hours. If you do, it could make your cholesterol look higher.
- Don't engage in strenuous physical activities for 8 hours prior to exam.
